Shows: It's been a busy month for the band. It started in Boston on 9/1 at The Greatest bar and that's also where the month will close out as Soak returns to The Greatest Bar on 9/29. Note: Soak was the headliner on 9/1. For 9/29, we're not the headliner so if you're coming down, make sure you're there earlier as our stage time is earlier (8pm) this time.

The Show That Wasn't -   Soak was briefly scheduled to play at the infamous CBGB's in New York City on 9/16. But, due to some scheduling SNAFU's beyond the band's control, this performance date fell through. It would have been awesome to play this legendary club that gave birth to bands such as The Ramones, Blondie, and others. But, it wasn't in the cards for this particular date.

It is, as they say, however, an honor just to have been nominated. CBGB's is slated to close forever in it's original location as of 9/30/06. If you have the opportunity to get down there for a show, do so.......

Give The Director a Serpent Deflector! - All is not lost this month on the topic of legendary clubs, however. Soak has been booked to play in the birthplace of Phish on Tuesday, 11/21/06. That, of course, would be when the band is taking the stage at Nectar's in Burlington, VT. What better way to start the holiday season than at a historic club rocking out with Soak. Sounds like you should plan a road trip......

Help: Well, it appears that Soak is in need of a new sound and lighting person. If this is the type of thing you enjoy, and particularly if you have any experience in this area, give us a shout at bookings@soakmusic.com . It would be especially helpful if you had lighting equipment of your own. This need will be opening up in the near future and we'd like to hear from anyone interested in being considered.......

Bookings:

If you want to book Soak for a performance, please visit our bookings page, or e-mail bookings@soakmusic.com
Notes: New Soak Album - Or are we sounding out of touch by calling it an album rather than a CD? Oh well....who cares, vinyl sounds better anyway! But, back to the topic at hand..... Soak is set to release their new full length original album tentatively titled "Burnt Newell Breakdown" in a few weeks. Primary recording will be completed this coming weekend with mixing and mastering to follow. So stay tuned.... The band is recording around 15 original tracks for consideration on the CD and possibly a few of their favorite cover selections for potential future use.

As always, don't forget to register in our discussion forums to communicate with the band and/or discuss anything music related. There are new forums there as well tailored to general music and local music as well. Another site, nhtunes.com was a great resource for this type of discussion. Since it was taken down, it has left a void for that, so feel free to use our site for your discussions if you like....
